Armed robbery sparks investigation north of the Coast

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a taxi driver north of the Gold Coast.

Around 5.05am on Sunday the 33-year-old male taxi driver took a man to an address at Fryar Road at Eagleby where he was robbed.

When they got there the man threatened the driver, demanding money and property.

He got what he wanted and ran off.

The man is described as tanned complexion with an Australian accent, approximately 142cms tall of a thin build, wearing a dark blue jumper, blue cap, dark pants, white runners and walks with a limp.

The driver was not hurt.
