A woman is on the run after attempting to rob a Logan service station while armed with a knife in the early hours of this morning.

Police said that around 2.45am, the woman entered the Waller Road servo at Heritage Park and produced a knife while demanding money from the store attendant.

The 32-year-old male employee locked himself in an adjoining room, while the woman climbed through the counter barrier and attempted to remove money from behind the counter.
