Aussie Ash Barty has lost her number one ranking, after a series of shock matches in the Canadian Open.
Barty lost her second round clash yesterday, going down unexpectedly to America’s Sofia Kenin.
The loss left the top spot open to former world number one Naomi Osaka, provided she won her second round clash this morning.

Osaka played German qualifier Tatjana Maria, where she won the first set before Maria retired.
It not only handed Osaka the win, but the top spot.
We won’t know until Monday exactly how far down Barty’s now been bumped.
