Ashley Madison leak site shut down after one day

The website allowing people to see if their spouse has been using cheating site, Ashley Madison, has been shut down a day after appearing.

CheckAshleyMadison.com allowed users to type in email addresses to see if it was connected to an account on the cheating site that promised ultimate secrecy.

But barely a day after launching, CheckAshleyMadison.com was shut down over a breach of copyright.

EARLIER: Sydney and Melbourne have been revealed as having one of the highest number of Ashley Madison accounts, as fallout from the hack attack continues.

In other revelations, more than 700 Australian government email addresses apparently linked to Ashley Madison users have been posted online.
