UPDATE @ 12.30pm: Students have returned to their classrooms following a bomb hoax incident at Ashmore State School this morning.
Around 9.00am today, parents received an email from the school Principal, alerting them to a threat which had been written on a window at the campus.
The school was placed into lock-down and students were moved to the oval as part of set procedures for incidents of this type.

Classes have since resumed, although investigations into who is responsible for the threat are ongoing.
EARLIER @ 10.45am: Ashmore State School on the Gold Coast is in lock-down following what police describe as a bomb hoax.
A threat was written on a window at the school, which is now following set procedures for incidents of this type.
Students have been moved to the oval while police investigate the threats.
The Principal advised all parents of the situation via email.
