ATM allegedly chained to ute and dragged out of club in daring heist

TWO men have allegedly gone to great lengths to steal an ATM from a bowling club in regional NSW.

The daring heist unfolded in the small country town of Wee Waa, near Narrabri in the state’s north.

It was just after 4am on Thursday when the men allegedly forced their way into the club on Alma Street.

Once inside, the pair allegedly chained an ATM to the back of their white single-cab ute and and used the vehicle to drag the machine out of the club.

Police said the ATM was dragged behind the vehicle for some distance.

An alarm was activated and officers from Oxley Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Investigations to locate the two brazen thieves are continuing, with police urging anyone with information to come forward.
