A man has been charged with attempted murder over an alleged attack at a house in rural NSW.
Police say a 20-year-old man was stabbed a number of times following a verbal altercation with another man at a house in Ashmont on Monday.
The alleged attacker then ran off, leaving the other man with wounds to his legs and stomach, and lacerations to his liver.

The victim was able to make his way to a neighbouring property where he received assistance and was taken by Ambulance to Wagga Wagga Rural Referral Hospital.
He had emergency surgery.
Police set up a crime scene and on Friday afternoon arrested a Turvey Park man.
The 24-year-old was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station and charged with attempted murder and wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court today.
