Australian film legends, Nicole Kidman and Geoffrey Rush, have both been nominated for the 2017 Primetime Emmy awards.
Kidman is up for one of the highest honours in television for her role in Big Little Lies, in the Limited Series Actress category.
The show is a TV adaption of the novel by Australia’s Liane Moriarty and her co-star Reese Witherspoon is also in the running.

Rush is nominated in the Limited Series Actor award, for his role as Albert Einstein in Genius.
Both Kidman’s Big Little Lies and Rush’s Genius are in contention for the Best Limited Series Category.
The awards will be handed out on September 17 in Los Angeles and will be hosted by Stephen Colbert.
Westworld and Saturday Night Live have both tied for the most nominations in 2017, with 22 each.
