Aussie suspected of contracting deadly Ebola
THERE’S reports this afternoon that an Australian has potentially contracted the deadly Ebola virus overseas.
Early information suggests the 47-year-old Australian man currently in Thailand is suspected of having the disease after returning from Congo, Central Africa and showing symptoms.
Almost 50 people have died from the disease in Congo.
Meanwhile, a young woman is isolated in a Brisbane hospital tonight after she’d returned from West Africa and developed a fever.
There’s no further information available at this time.
