Aussie swimmers boost the medal tally with another GOLD and BRONZE

Australia has added another two medals to the tally, with our Aussie gals nabbing gold and bronze in the 100m freestyle.

Emma McKeon broke the Olympic record with her time of 51.96 seconds to get gold. She’s become just the second woman in history to get under 52 seconds.

Cate Campbell just behind with a time of 52.52 to take the bronze medal.

It puts the Aussies on a total of nine gold medals, two silver and eleven bronze medals.

The win marks the second gold medal that Emma McKeon has taken home these games, on top of two bronze medals as well.

It’s her third Olympic gold medal overall.
