Aussie’s burning out in Ashes clash

They survived day two but are set for total meltdown in the third Ashes Test at Edgbaston.

Australia are staring down the barrel of a three-day defeat after a rejuvenated Steve Finn ripped through the middle order to reduce the tourists to 7-167 – a lead of just 22 runs.

Finn took 5-54 in his first Test in two years as the tourists’ top-order batting line-up once again crumbled with only David Warner, who scored 77, making a meaningful contribution with the bat.

Peter Nevill has played cautiously for 37 not out off 117 deliveries at the close with Mitchell Starc, who is seven not out, also at the crease.
