Australian’s are being encouraged to wear khaki today to celebrate the life of the one and only crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin.
Celebrated each year on November 15, Steve Irwin Day is an annual international event honouring the life and legacy of Steve.
It’s been 10 years since the crocodile hunter died after being pierced in the chest by a stingray barb while filming an underwater documentary in Queensland.

Today, his family and the rest of Australia are honouring the great man with a celebration at Australia Zoo.

All money raised from Steve Irwin day will go towards Australia Zoo’s Wildlife Warriors to help continue Steve’s conservation work and the preservation of wildlife and wild places.
Bindi Irwin took to social media on Tuesday morning, posting a collage of throwback photos of her and her father.
