Australia into the Eurovision grand final
Australia has made it through to the Eurovision grand final with singer Isaiah Firebrace.
The 17-year-old, who took out season eight of X Factor, advanced through with his performance of Don’t Come Easy in the first round of semi-finals.
Nine other countries also made it into the popular song contest final.
They include Moldova, Azerbaijan, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Armenia, Cyprus and Belgium.

After his performance, the teen from Moama in the NSW Riverina gave a quick shoutout to Australia.
“Hi everyone back at home I’m thinking about you guys and wow this is incredible,” Firebrace said.

The second round of semi-finals will take place from 5am on Friday (AEST).
