Australia Fair is set to undergo a major revamp, with the shopping centre lodging an application for development approval with the City of Gold Coast.
The multimillion dollar proposed works are focused in the northern end of the mall, and include an upgrade of the Nerang Street entry, a new entrance from Marine Parade, a new food and beverage precinct, an update of the level 1 mall, new amenities and parents’ room, and four new escalators.
While some of the renovations are still subject to several approvals, Australia Fair centre manager Ramon Otten said early works will commence in the coming weeks.

“We are thrilled about the next phase of the centre’s revitalisation and improving our offer,” he said.
“If all approvals are received, most of the works are anticipated to be completed by late 2022.”
The latest redevelopment announcement follows the $25 million transformation of the centre’s Coles/Scarborough Street entry in 2017.
