“We’re just amazed at the response to our simple gestures of care for the community, especially after the feedback from distributing over one thousand bags of hot-crossed buns last Easter. We were inundated with emails asking why we would bother, and plenty of thanks as well. So we’ve taken it to a new level and invited Stan to join us for two shows at the Upper Coomera State College Performing Arts Centre and he can’t wait!”
“Stan has extensive family connections on the Gold Coast, after moving to Coolangatta from New Zealand as a seventeen year old and working in a menswear store before Australian Idol changed his life, so there’s plenty of extended family that are keen to see his latest work as well.
“Stan has released four albums since his rise to fame in 2009 and no doubt he’ll be performing the hits from all his work, as well as telling us a bit about his journey which has definitely seen some tough times. It’s a very inspirational story and one we can’t wait for the community to hear.”
Tickets to the December 13 concert at Upper Coomera State College are available through www.forwardchurch.org.au while the free Sunday morning appearance at 10am on the 14th December, will be part of Forward Church’s weekly Sunday meeting at the same venue.
