AN AUSTRALIAN family is dealing with an unimaginable tragedy, after a woman was killed at a popular ski resort in Canada.
The 42-year-old from New South Wales had been snowboarding at Whistler Blackcomb ski resort, on Thursday local time, when the incident happened.
Canadian Police have confirmed, she had taken off her snow board and was “walking on foot when she lost her footing”.

She then slid down a slope and over a cliff.
It believed the incident happened at the same time as an avalanche, which injured a 36-year-old man.
Consular assistance is being provided to the woman’s family by The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
