Mayor Tom Tate said he was excited that a major gymnastics event would remain on the Gold Coast following the Commonwealth Games.
“The true success of the Games will be measured by the legacy outcomes we achieve in the years after GC2018,’’ Mayor Tom Tate said.
“This announcement is significant for two reasons; it underscores the confidence Gymnastics Australia has in our city and its venues, and it provides an enormous platform for aspiring national gymnasts to learn and compete, right here on the Gold Coast.”
