Australia’s Daniel Ricciardo way off the pace in Canada

Australian Formula One driver Daniel Ricciardo finished a disappointing seventh at the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Lewis Hamilton took out that race and also Sunday’s event in Canada.

Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel controlled the opening phase of the Montreal race after leapfrogging both Hamilton and his Mercedes team-mate Nico Rosberg off the line.

But a decision by Ferrari to call the German into the pits twice allowed Hamilton to claim his fifth victory at the track.

When Hamilton crossed the line in first place he radioed the most memorable words possible to his team “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee” before adding “that was for Ali.”
