The Bureau of Meteorology has released its statistics for the season of spring, revealing 2014 had the hottest spring in the past decade.
Spring 2014’s average temperature of 24 degrees Celsius exceeded the mean by 1.5C.

Low rainfall was linked to warmer-than-average temperatures in Australia and around the world, climate monitoring manager Karl Braganza said.
The bureau is still finalising its figures, but temperatures in November are said to have been the second-hottest on record.
