Australia’s largest trampoline park opens on the Gold Coast

AUSTRALIA’S indoor trampoline park obsession has reached new heights with the opening of the country’s largest venue on the Gold Coast.

Air Factory – which boasts 4,700sqm of bouncing space across 140 trampolines – will open its doors in Burleigh on Thursday, with equipment to cater for everyone from young children through to ex gymnasts and professional athletes.

In addition to being the largest in size, Air Factory features an array of unique attractions –  including a huge ‘Pro Zone’ which boasts double size Olympic trampolines, and a ‘zorb soccer’ arena where participants can test their skills while strapped inside an inflatable ball.

Four 11 metre long trampolines create a tumbling track for the more daring – with a monster 14 metre long air bag imported from the Netherlands at the end to provide a safe landing for aerial tricks.

Air Factory Managing Direct Chris Emert said Air Factory was designed with fun, fitness and freedom in mind.

“Indoor trampoline parks are becoming incredibly popular not only in Australia but right across the world – and the Gold Coast is an ideal location for the largest venue of this kind – to entice both regular visitors and holidaymakers,” he said.

“We have included all of the attractions people love like a free jump zone with 40 connected trampolines, along with three dodge ball courts, four slam dunk hoops and a special Mini Air zone area to keep the little ones separated from the older children, teens and adults.

“However, we also wanted to create a venue with a real difference, which is why we have imported the latest trampoline equipment from the United States to create our pro zone. This zone will appeal to everyone from gymnasts through to surfers, wake boarders, dancers and divers who want to do cross-training to perfect their technique.

“The zorb soccer arena is a high energy space where people can embrace their inner child and run around in inflatable balls.”

Mr Emert said Air Factory was already experiencing strong demand for online bookings with customers booking over the summer holiday season, for general sessions, kids parties and even corporate events.

“We will accept walk in bookings, but most some people have been anticipating our launch and have registered online to be one of the first to check out what we have on offer,” he said.

“As word gets out, I expect that Air Factory parties will be a huge hit – for kids, teens and adults. We have five dedicated function rooms to provide a memorable experience for a birthday or a unique team bonding experience for corporate events.

“There are also plans to run regular fun and inclusive competitions for our patrons, so they can test their skills and measure their improvement in tricking, dodge ball, slam dunk and zorb soccer.”

Safety and comfort are paramount at Air Factory, with the venue featuring an upstairs cafe for parents or non jumpers to relax and watch the action, and a ‘chill room’ for bouncers to cool down after an energetic session.

Experienced staff will be stationed at each zone within Air Factory to ensure that all participants are behaving and performing in a safe manner.

“We want Air Factory to be a place where everyone of all ages and abilities can feel comfortable about coming along to have fun and build confidence by learning new skills and experiencing new activities,” Mr Emert said.

Air Factory will officially open to the public from Thursday 18 December.
