Autistic boy found “chained up” in western Sydney home

A teenage boy with autism has reportedly been rushed to hospital this afternoon after being found chained up inside his family home in western Sydney.

It’s understood officers were called to the Blacktown home at 12.00pm (AEDT) following reports about his welfare.

The 15-year-old boy has been taken to hospital as a precaution


Police from Blacktown Local Area Command are now investigating and speaking to the boy’s mother.

They will also be holding talk with relevant agencies following the alleged incident.

There are claims the boy’s carer found him in the back room of the home while his mother had gone to the shops.
