Two infant capsules and a base are being recalled over fears a strap may break, potentially injuring infants.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission alerted parents and carers to the Joie i-Gemm recall in a notice on their website.
“The top tether strap may release under excessive load,” the recall notice reads.

“If the top tether strap releases in a crash, an infant may be injured.”
The products have been available for sale across Australia in NSW, QLD, SA, Tasmania, Victoria and Western Australia and online between 18 September 2019 – 1 November 2019.

Parents are being urged to immediately stop using the product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or store credit.
