Baby critically injured in horror crash
A BABY has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition following a shocking crash at Ipswich.
The horrific accident happened on the Warrego Highway at Bundamba just before 9.30am on Sunday.
It’s understood a car with a woman and baby inside left the road and collided with a pole.
Tragically, the baby suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision.
Queensland Ambulance said the infant has been rushed to Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.
A woman, believed to be the baby’s mother, has been taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
One westbound lane of the Warrego Highway remains closed while the forensic crash unit examines the scene.
