Baby dies after being stuck in cot at Nerang
THE child protection unit is looking into the tragic death of a baby boy in Nerang on the weekend.
The 11-month-old child died after becoming trapped in the slats on the side of his cot on Saturday morning.
Paramedics were called to a house on Weedons Rd around 10am, but were unable to revive the child.
The tragedy is not considered suspicious, however a report is being prepared for the coroner and an investigation will be carried out by the child protection unit.
