A BABY girl has been killed in a horror two-car crash on Phillip Island, south of Melbourne.
Police say a Mercedes sedan collided with a black Mazda CX-9 near the intersection of Smiths Beach and Back Beach roads at around 7:30pm on Saturday.
A one-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the Mazda, was airlifted to hospital, however, died a short time later.

The male driver of the car, female passenger and another child were all taken to hospital by ambulance. It’s understood they suffered only minor injuries.
The 24-year-old male driver of the Mercedes also suffered minor injuries in the collision. He was taken to hospital under police guard and has since been released without charge, pending further inquiries.
The four passengers in the Mercedes were not injured in the collision.
Detectives are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed anything or who saw the Mercedes sedan prior to the collision.
