Witnesses said the baby was clearly distressed, crying and sweaty with the windows wound down no more than an inch.

Four crews were on scene within minutes and the baby was removed from the vehicle, thankfully without incident.

The latest incident comes after a five-year-old boy was found locked inside a car outside a northern NSW tavern on Wednesday.
