Baby passes check-up after being abandoned in Brisbane
A baby abandoned in a Brisbane suburb, remains at the Lady Cilento Hospital this morning.
The three-month-old girl was located in Herston just after midday on Sunday.
She was found by university student Long Nguyen on the front veranda of a share house.
But neighbours say she could have been there for longer, saying they had heard her crying for a while.
Neighbour Nicole Chegwin told Channel Nine “it is strange, I was more concerned hearing a baby crying and just wondered if the mum needed a break from holding a crying baby, I never imagined it was an abandoned baby”.
The baby was taken to Hospital for a check up and has been given a clean bill of health.
A 41-year-old woman found near Brisbane’s international airport also on the weekend was also taken to Hospital for a check-up.
