Babysitter accused of using kids in bank robbery

A baby sitter in the US will be looking for a new job, after being accused of using kids she was looking after to help rob a bank.

It’s alleged Rachel Einspahr, 28, slipped a note to a drive-through teller in the state of Colorado claiming there was a man in the back of her Nissan Pathfinder threatening to hurt the two girls, who are aged 7 and 18-months.

The teller gave in to the demands, believing the children were in danger. She handed back $US500 ($A682).

Einspahr reportedly planned the alleged heist in a bid to pay back thousands of dollars she previously stole from her employers.
