Newly-crowned US PGA champion Jason Day has withdrawn from The Barclays pro-am event after hurting his back.
Day was moving an item under his motor coach on Tuesday night when he tweaked his back.
His trained says the Beaudesert local had no choice but to withdraw from the event because of a long-standing disc issue.

Day has a history of injuries that include his back and hand.
He also suffered vertigo symptoms at the US Open this year.
Hopefully the injury wont thrown the world number three off his game.
Day is coming off his first major at Whistling Straits when he won by three shots over Jordan Spieth.
