James Holmes, whose shooting rampage three years ago killed 12 and wounded 70 inside a Colorado movie theater, has been found guilty of first-degree murder.
After 13 hours of deliberations a US Jury found the “Batman theater gunman” guilty, despite pleas from defence lawyers stating that the 27-year-old had a severe mental illness.
The decision was delivered in Arapahoe County District Court after 10 weeks of testimony from more than 250 witnesses.
