Beautiful strangers send Christmas cards to girl who lost family in arson attack

Strangers from around the world are making the Christmas wish of an eight-year-old burns victim come true with a simple gesture.

Safyre Terry was five-years-old when she lost her entire family in a horrific arson attack in New York.

She suffered burns to 75 percent of her body and lost her foot and hand, but survived because her father shielded her underneath him.


The precious little girl now lives with her aunt in New York, who has just recently purchased a Christmas-tree shaped card holder. Safyre told her aunt that all she wanted for Christmas was to fill it with cards.

In an attempt to make Safyre’s Christmas wish come true, her aunt took to Facebook posting an address and asking for cards.

The post has since gone viral with Safyre receiving thousands of cards and gifts from strangers all around the world.
