Beer drinkers warned of Stone & Wood Pacific Ale recall

A popular Stone & Wood beer is being voluntarily recalled over fears it may be contaminated with cleaning fluids.

In a recall notice posted by Queensland Health, consumers have been warned to not drink the 330ml bottles of Stone & Wood Pacific Ale with a best before date of 25.02.2017.

“The recall is due to potential chemical cleaning fluid contamination. This was an isolated incident relating to a very small part of one production run. No other Stone & Wood products or batches of Pacific Ale are affected by this recall,” the statement posted by Queensland Health reads.

The recalled beer has been available for sale in Queensland and Northern New South Wales.

People have been urged to return the recalled bottles of beer to their place of purchase for a full refund.

“Consumers should not drink this product. The product can be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund, or via Stone & Wood’s customer care team who can be contacted directly to arrange a full refund or replacement, and collection.”
