Beloved actress Betty White dies aged 99

Hollywood has lost another legend with reports beloved actress and comedian Betty White has died just weeks out from a milestone birthday.

It’s understood the star passed away at her home in California on Friday.

She was 99-years-old.

Her agent and close friend Jett Witjas confirmed the news to People Magazine.

“Even though Betty was about to be 100, I thought she would live forever,” he told PEOPLE in a statement.

“I will miss her terribly and so will the animal world that she loved so much.

I don’t think Betty ever feared passing because she always wanted to be with her most beloved husband Allen Ludden. She believed she would be with him again.”

She took to Facebook just three days ago to share her cover of the new People Magazine, which was celebrating her 100th birthday, which she would have celebrated on January 17.

White, who was best known for her TV roles on ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show’ and ‘The Golden Girls’, has been one of the most loved stars of Hollywood across her eight decade career, appealing to audiences both young and old.

She was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1995 and also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Memorial flowers were set to be placed on the star as a tribute.
