Beloved Gold Coast cafe broken into twice in three days

A beloved cafe on the northern Gold Coast is now facing another day of cleaning up smashed glass after it was broken into for the second time in three days.

The One Little Tree cafe in Pimpama was broken into on Monday night, with the culprits smashing up the front window, computers and the coffee area.

Police confirmed that at least one man had been arrested in connection to the incident after a number of people were found loitering outside the business in the early morning.

Just two nights later, cafe staff have arrived to find the front windows smashed yet again.

It’s not clear if any damage was done inside the venue this time, but the owners have been left with another cleanup job.

Locals are again rallying around the business but are calling for an increased presence from the police.

“This is such an amazing place and for this to happen again. So sorry this happened to you guys,” one Facebook comment reads.

“You might need to invest in roller shutters. This won’t stop until there is a police presence in the area,” another reads.
