Berlin terror suspect shot dead outside Milan

The Berlin terror suspect has been killed during a police shootout just outside of Milan.

This week Tunisian Anis Amri drove a truck through crowds at a Christmas market – killing 12.

He has since been killed after he was stopped for questioning about a burglary.

One of the officers asked for his ID, Amri reacted by pulling out a gun and shooting one officer in the shoulder.

The second patrolmen, trainee Luca Scata, 29, fired back, killing Amri, according to Italian officials.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has ordered an inquiry after it was revealed authorities had tracked Amri for months because they they thought he was planning an attack.

US President Elect Donald Trump has Tweeted about Amri.
