Splash! is a fusion of new circus and music, featuring world-renowned acrobats performing outrageous and daring physical feats that will enchant your mind and uplift your spirits.
On Sunday 9 March, film fans will be invited to kick back and relax on the sands of Coolangatta Beach for the first of two surf-inspired film festivals – Bleachside Flicks.
The second surf-centric film festival will held during the very popular Bleach* Boulevard (15-16 March), a two day program of outdoor street entertainment centred around the leafy thoroughfare of Tomewin Street Currumbin, the famous Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Surf World Gold Coast Museum.
Bleach* Boulevard’s program includes a giant Street Party on Saturday 15 March with an action-packed program of live music, films, children’s shows, workshops and roving entertainers.
On Saturday 22 March a giant outdoor concert will take place on Burleigh beach, featuring some of Australia’s best artists and bands.
The Bleach* Jnr program also swings into action from 14-16 March with ‘Stradbroke Dreamtime’ on the shores of Currumbin Beach. This sparkling tale introduces children to the oldest living culture on earth: our traditional landowners, the Australian Aboriginal people.
On 22 and 23 March, Bleach* Jnr continues with rollicking nautical-themed theatre for kids called ‘The adventures of Captain Curlylocks’ at Tugun.
The sun sets on Bleach* on Sunday 23 March with a sizzling summer soiree and BBQ at Palm Beach. The setting, in the parklands alongside the pristine Currumbin estuary, will be adorned with hammocks, bathed in music and basted with the aromas of sumptuous food at a relaxed and dreamy, island-style fiesta.
The Bleach* team is planning to create the biggest ever community ukulele orchestra on the day to create some true community spirit and musical madness.
Under twinkling stars, Bleach* will be farewelled on the final night with a bang, as a giant fireworks display lights up the spectacular Gold Coast skyline.
