Bike rider and pedestrian hospitalised after separate road incidents

A 50-YEAR-OLD man is recovering in hospital after he was struck by a car on the Gold Coast this afternoon.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene on Bermuda Street, Burleigh Waters around 12.30pm to find the man bleeding from the head.

An ambulance spokesperson said he was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with a large head laceration.

Around half-an-hour later, paramedics were called to Napper Road near the Arundel Plaza Shopping Centre where a young man on a motorbike was struck by a car.

The 24-year-old rider was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with a “leg abrasion”.
