Bikie nabbed with loaded semi-automatic gun, crystal meth in car

A REBELS bikie has been arrested and charged after police allegedly found a loaded semi-automatic handgun and a stash of drugs in his car during a traffic stop in Sydney’s south-west.

Police said highway patrol officers from the Gang Squad’s Strike Force Raptor intercepted a Holden Colorado ute near the corner of the Cumberland Highway and Cabramatta Road around 6.45pm on Wednesday.

Following a search of the ute, officers allegedly located and seized a semi-automatic pistol, a loaded magazine, and a stash of crystal meth secreted in a hidden compartment.

The 25-year-old male driver was arrested and taken to Cabramatta Police Station and his vehicle was seized for forensic examination.

A short time later, investigators from the State Crime Command’s Firearms Squad executed a search warrant at the man’s home unit on Bold Street in Cabramatta.

During a search of the property, officers located and seized steroids and a residue of a substance police said was believed to be ‘ice’.

The man was subsequently charged with possess unauthorised firearm, possess prohibited weapon, possess ammunition, not keep firearm safely, and supply prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today.
