Bikies jailed for importing $10 million worth of amphetamines into the GC

TWO Rebels bikie gang members have been sentenced to jail for importing $10 million worth of amphetamines into the Gold Coast.

Jyden Kirkpatrick, 29, and Jed Leggett, 27, imported the amphetamines from the United Kingdom through an international parcel courier in July 2014.

The delivery of two packages to the Gold Coast were seized by customs, while the other two-kilogram package was intercepted at a caravan park in Carrara.

Kirkpatrick and Leggett appeared in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Thursday.

Kirkpatrick received a 10-year jail term and Legget was sentenced to four years behind bars.

Three Tasmanian men were also arrested along with another man in Liverpool in the United Kingdom.
