Bill Cosby found guilty of sexual assault

American comedian Bill Cosby has been found guilty of three counts of sexual assault.

The 80-year-old has been on trial for drugging and molesting former Temple University employee Andrea Constand at his Philadelphia home in 2004.

A jury of seven men and five women came to the unanimous verdict following two days of deliberations at Montgomery County Courthouse .

Cosby initially faced a trial in June 2017, however it was dropped after the jury failed to reach a verdict.

Outside of court today, lawyer Gloria Allred expressed her relief.

“We are so happy that finally we can say, women are believed, and not only on #MeToo, but in a court of law,” Ms Allred said.

Cosby was granted conditional bail while he awaits sentencing in 60-90 days.
