Bindi Irwin forced to prove her dad is dead

A Los Angeles judge has told Bindi Irwin she must prove that her famous dad, Steve “Crocodile Hunter” Irwin, is dead in order to get paid for her time on Dancing With The Stars.

As Bindi is under 17 years old, her parents are legally required to sign a form stating that they give up all rights to any money she makes or wins on the reality show.

While Bindi’s mum Terri has signed the release, the judge has also asked for the same release from Bindi’s father or proof that he is dead.

Steve Irwin, was killed in 2006 after being attacked by a stingray while snorkeling, making headlines across the world.

Court documents also revealed Bindi, who continues to wow audiences with her performances each week, is already guaranteed to make $US230,000 (A$ 322,000) on the reality show.

If she goes on wins the show, documents show the star could take home up to $US300,000 (A$420,000).

Lawyers from the show plan to prove the Crocodile Hunter did die in 2006 from a stingray barb.

What a bloody joke, what rock was the judge under when Steve passed away?

Why make bindi go through that nightmare again
That is outrageously cruel
Why should it matter

This is crap , poor Bindy & her family , they have been through enough i think.

The State Coroner Michael Barnes decided back in 2007 to bypass a coronial inquest, instead taking Cairns coroner Rob Spencer’s consultation & Terri Irwin’s first-hand testimony as conclusive proof of cause of death. As a result, a death certificate would have been issued to the family, which I’m sure will be satisfactory proof to this judge that Steve’s really dead.
