As Bindi Irwin heads into the Grand Finale of the US version of Dancing With The Stars this week, her hometown – the Sunshine Coast, have released a video sending their support.

Visit Sunshine Coast posted the heartwarming video to their YouTube page on Sunday.

“The crocodile rockin’ Bindi Irwin is from right here in the Sunshine Coast and we’re super proud of her!

“Over the past 8 weeks Bindi has been tearing up the dance floor on the US series of Dancing with the Stars.

“To wish her good luck the Sunshine Coast locals, from the coast to the hinterland, have come together to share a message of support.

“Go Bindi, the Sunshine Coast and Queensland are behind you!”

The video quickly caught the attention of Bindi, who later tweeted how blessed she felt after watching it: “This made my day. Guys, this is where I grew up! How blessed I feel after watching this video.”

The footage features employees from her late father Steve Irwin’s Australia Zoo, Aussie World, lifeguards and Sunshine Coast airport staff among many more, who all reveal how proud they are of the bubbly teen.
