THE TITANS have been dealt a massive blow, with co-captain Greg Bird handed a grade three dangerous throw charge by the NRL’s video review panel.
It means, at best, the NSW back-rower will be banned for four matches with an early plea or six games if he challenges the charge and loses.
Either option would see Bird miss the first State of Origin match on May 28.

The Gold Coast club has confirmed via its website, it is considering its position before making a decision this morning on whether to contest the charge in hope of having him cleared.
Bird was placed on report for a lifting tackle on South Sydney’s Bryson Goodwin in the 60th minute of Saturday’s 40-18 loss to the Rabbitohs.
