Blaze breaks out at Surfers Paradise home

Emergency services are on the scene of a house fire in Surfers Paradise this morning.

They were called to an address on Genoa Street around 5.30am, following reports a blaze had broken out in a two storey home.

On arrival, the fire was visible on the second level of the dwelling.


Two crews took just 20 minutes to get the blaze under control.

It’s believed it sparked in the ceiling of the property.

No injuries have been reported, and it’s understood that fire fighters won’t be investigating.

Crews were still on scene dampening hot spots at 6.15am.
