Blustery Friday forecast for the Gold Coast
HANG on to your hats Gold Coasters – it’s going to be a blustery, chilly day tomorrow.
A strong cold front is expected to surge toward the coast, which will see the city struggle to climb above 20C on Friday.
A sunny top of 19C is forecast, although associated gusty westerly winds will make it feel around 4C cooler in some places.
Winds are expected to turn southwesterly at 40-55km/h in the morning, before easing back to 15-25km/h in the late afternoon.
A mostly fine and sunny day will follow on Saturday, although it will be a chilly morning, getting down to just 3C in Coomera.
A top of 20C is forecast, with easing westerlies expected to tend southeasterly during the afternoon.
Sunday will be a tad warmer, with the mercury tipped to climb to 22C, but onshore winds could stimulate a few light showers.
A mostly fine and sunny working week will follow, with daytime temperatures around 22C and overnight lows of 5-8C predicted.
