Body found at popular swimming spot
A BODY found near the popular Figure Eight Pools south of Sydney is believed to be that of a man who disappeared while swimming in the area in February.
A bushwalker raised the alarm after finding the body washed up on rocks about 800m south of the popular swimming spot in the Royal National Park on Monday afternoon.
Following a difficult operation, the body was retrieved about midday yesterday, police said.

While the body is yet to be formally identified, it’s believed to be that of a 22-year-old man who was swept off rocks while swimming at the Figure Eight Pools on Monday, February 25.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Police are urging people to visit the Figure Eight Pools website for a daily wave risk forecast and other helpful information before travelling to the area.
