POLICE divers have found the body of a man who was swept away by flood waters on the NSW Far North Coast.
The 72-year-old man was driving along Martin Road at Larnook, near Kyogle, on Wednesday afternoon when his vehicle became trapped in rising water.
The man’s car was then swept off a concrete causeway and into Leycester Creek.

Dozens of police officers, State Emergency Service volunteers and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter scoured the area for several hours in the search for the man, but to no avail.
Shortly after 9am this morning, police divers located the man’s body at the bottom of the creek.
Crime scene officers are at the scene and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
