Body found in boot of burnt car

A BODY has been found in the boot of a burnt out car in Melbourne.

Fire crews were called to a car fire on the Bulla-Diggers Rest Road about 12.20am on Friday.

After the fire had been put out, authorities quickly found a badly burnt body inside the vehicle.


Police quickly rushed to the scene with the death been treated as suspicious and homicide detectives are investigating.

There are some reports the person may have died after the blaze broke out but there’s no confirmation at this stage.

The body has not yet been identified.
