Body found inside Qld home destroyed by ferocious blaze

A crime scene has been declared after the body of a man was found inside a house destroyed by fire in Maryborough.

Emergency crews were called to Garden Street just before 8.00am on Thursday, following reports a home was fully engulfed in flames.

Fire crews desperately worked to douse the flames, but it was too late, with the roof of the home caving in.
