Body of missing Australian hiker found in Canada
THE body of missing Australian hiker Sophie Dowsley has been found in a Canadian river following a lengthy search.
The 34-year-old disappeared whilst on a hike near Statlu Falls with her Canadian partner Gregory James Tiffin on July 10.
Mr Tiffin’s body was discovered at the base of the falls on July 19.
Following a major search, rescue crews discovered a body in the same area on September 23. Police have since confirmed the body is that of former Melbourne woman Sophie Dowsley.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances.
